Who it's for

Full face threading suits anyone who wants neat, defined brows and a smooth, hair-free complexion without wax, creams or harsh chemicals. Because the technique is so gentle and precise, it works beautifully across every skin type and tone.

  • Those who want their eyebrows shaped, tidied and balanced with real precision
  • Anyone looking to remove fine facial hair from the upper lip, chin, cheeks, sides and forehead
  • Sensitive skin that can react to waxing or hair-removal creams
  • Clients who prefer an entirely natural method with no products on the skin
  • Those wanting a quick, polished refresh that fits into a lunch break or busy day
  • Anyone new to threading who wants the whole face cared for in one tidy appointment

Why choose threading

Threading is one of the oldest and most precise methods of hair removal, and it remains a favourite for good reason. A single fine cotton thread is twisted and rolled across the skin to lift hair cleanly from the root, allowing your therapist to follow the exact line of your brow and the contours of your face with remarkable accuracy.

Unlike waxing, threading touches only the hair and not the surrounding skin, so there is no pulling or tugging on delicate areas. No hot wax, no adhesive strips and no creams come into contact with your face, which makes it a wonderfully gentle option for those with sensitive or reactive skin.

Done well, threading gives a crisp, defined result that looks natural rather than over-plucked. With regular appointments the finish becomes easier to maintain, and many clients find the hair feels softer and finer over time.

How it works

Your therapist holds a length of pure cotton thread, twisting it into a double strand and gliding it across the surface of the skin. As the twist passes over each hair, it catches and lifts it directly from the follicle in a swift, controlled motion. Because the thread can be guided so precisely, even the finest hairs and the cleanest brow lines can be defined with ease.

For a full face, the brows are shaped first to establish balance, followed by the upper lip, chin, cheeks, sides and forehead as needed, leaving the whole face smooth and even.

Your appointment, step by step

From the moment you sit down to the final mirror check, every full face threading appointment follows the same considered, unhurried routine.

  1. We begin with a short consultation to understand the brow shape you love and which areas of the face you would like treated.
  2. Your therapist gently maps and measures your brows to suit your natural features, checking the line with you before starting.
  3. The eyebrows are threaded first, removing stray hairs and refining the shape with precise, controlled movements.
  4. We then move across the face, threading the upper lip, chin, cheeks, sides and forehead as required for a clean, even finish.
  5. The treated areas are soothed and any fine hairs tidied, then we share a mirror so you can see the result.
  6. We offer simple aftercare guidance and rebooking advice so your shape stays beautifully maintained.

In the treatment room

Threading has a distinctive sensation; you will feel a light, quick pinch as each row of hair is lifted, usually described as a brief tingle rather than discomfort. Most clients settle into the rhythm of it within moments and find it very manageable, even around the more delicate brow and upper lip.

You may be asked to gently hold the skin taut to help your therapist work with precision. The room is calm and private, and the whole face is treated in around thirty minutes, leaving you smooth, refreshed and ready to carry on with your day.

What to expect afterwards

You will leave with clean, defined brows and a smooth complexion straight away. Here is how the results typically unfold.

  • Immediately: crisp brow definition and noticeably smoother skin, sometimes with mild, short-lived redness
  • Within a few hours: any redness or warmth settles completely, leaving an even, polished finish
  • Two to four weeks: fine regrowth begins to appear gradually and evenly
  • Around three to four weeks: most clients return to maintain their shape and keep the face smooth
  • Over time: with regular threading the regrowth often feels softer and the brow line becomes easier to maintain

Caring for your skin afterwards

Threading needs very little aftercare, but a few simple steps in the first day will keep your skin calm and comfortable.

  • Avoid touching or rubbing the treated areas for a few hours to prevent irritation
  • Skip heavy make-up directly over the area for the rest of the day where possible
  • Steer clear of saunas, steam rooms and very hot water for the first 24 hours
  • Avoid direct sun and apply SPF if heading outdoors to protect freshly threaded skin
  • Keep harsh exfoliants and active skincare away from the area for a day or so
  • A cool compress can soothe any lingering redness if you feel you need it

Safety and suitability

Threading is a natural, low-risk treatment suitable for all skin types and tones, and no patch test is required as nothing is applied to the skin. Mild redness or a little warmth immediately afterwards is entirely normal and usually fades within a few hours.

Please let your therapist know if you are using retinoids, acids or other active skincare, or have had recent facial treatments, as the skin may be more sensitive. We would also ask you to mention any skin conditions, active breakouts, cold sores or recent sunburn in the area so we can adapt or reschedule for your comfort and safety.

Frequently asked questions

Anything we have not covered? Call 07544 154415 or email and we will get back to you the same day.

Does threading hurt? +
You will feel a light, quick pinch as each row of hair is lifted, but most clients find it very manageable and describe it as a brief tingle. Any sensation passes the moment the thread moves on, and it becomes easier with regular appointments.
Do I need a patch test before full face threading? +
No. Threading uses only a fine cotton thread and nothing is applied to your skin, so no patch test is required. You can book and be treated in the same visit.
How long will the results last? +
Most people enjoy a smooth, defined finish for around three to four weeks before fine regrowth appears. We are happy to recommend a maintenance schedule to keep your brows and face looking their best.
Is threading suitable for sensitive skin? +
Yes. Because the thread touches only the hair and not the surrounding skin, threading is often gentler than waxing and is well suited to sensitive or reactive skin. Mild redness afterwards is normal and settles quickly.
What areas are included in full face threading? +
The treatment covers the eyebrows plus the upper lip, chin, cheeks, sides and forehead as needed, leaving the whole face neat and smooth in around thirty minutes for £30.
Can men have full face threading? +
Absolutely. Threading suits everyone, and we regularly shape brows and tidy facial hair for men as well as women. Just let us know the look you would like during your consultation.
